Get free job training in Hawai'i’s high-demand sectors including Healthcare, Technology, Clean Energy/Skilled Trades, and Creative Industries. These good jobs can lead to a pathway for a better-paying career that takes care of our people and our place.

And there is training to work at the City and County of Honolulu. City jobs come with work-life balance, great health and retirement benefits, and the chance to make life better for our communities.

For our neighbors looking for a good job, we offer these resources from the City and our partners:

City and County of Honolulu. The City offers competitive pay; excellent health, retirement, and vacation benefits, Including 13 paid holidays a year; and the opportunity to improve the quality of life for our neighbors.

American Job Center Hawaiʻi. The Center provides personal assistance to help people find a job in industries that are hiring now. They also provide job skill training to help people advance their careers. Itʻs a free service from the WorkHawaii division of the Dept. of Community Services.

Hawaiʻi is Hiring. This website connects kamaʻāina to jobs, training, and resources. The no-cost program is offered by the Chamber of Commerce of Hawaiʻi.

State of Hawaii Crest

Apprenticeships. Long-term training programs by the State of Hawaiʻi Workforce Development Division allow job seekers to learn specialized skills for the construction trades, healthcare, and more.

Hawaiian Trades Academy. The Hawaiian Trades Academy program goal is to raise the household income of families in Hawaiʻi. Accelerator classes take place over an 8-14-week span. Participants learn and develop trade skills, gain mentoring, and leave the program with numerous certifications, like CDL licenses, OSHA-10 certification, respiratory and/or First Aid training. All programs include financial empowerment and Hawaiʻi culture education, and job placement assistance.

Hawaii Job Corps. Department of Labor’s Job Corps program is the nation’s largest free, residential career training and education program for low-income young adults ages 16 through 24. Whether you are searching for a new career, finishing your high school diploma or exploring your options, Job Corps can provide you with FREE training to jump-start your future. Learn More: enroll.jobcorps.gov

AskJan. This nonprofit provides free consulting services for all job seekers and those employed who have questions about workplaces for people living with disabilities. Services include one-on-one consultation about all aspects of job accommodations, including the accommodation process, accommodation ideas, product vendors, referral to other resources, and ADA compliance assistance.
